Emily Castelli

born in Palermo in 1996, moved to Essen in 2015 where she studied dance at the Folkwang University of the Arts. Emily’s teachers were Lutz Förster, Malou Airaudo, Stephan Brinkmann, Rodolpho Leoni, among others.

After graduating, she joined the Folkwang Tanzstudio for two years, performing in works by Michael Vandelvende, Henrietta Horn, David Hernandez, Reinhild Hoffmann. During this time Emily Castelli also learned the “Rite of Spring” by Pina Bausch.

Furthermore, she has performed in choreographies by  Malou Airaudo, Carolyn Carlson, Sita Ostheimer, Julio Cesar Ungo, Won Myeong Won, Mark Sieczkarek, and Tian Gao.
