Simon Le Borgne

is a dancer and choreographer based in Paris. He trained at the Paris Opera Ballet School and joined the Paris Opera Ballet in 2014. In 2019, he was promoted to “sujet” (soloist). He has danced in pieces by Maguy Marin, Merce Cunningham, Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin and Hofesh Schechter and was part of creations by Crystal Pite, Alexander Ekman, Ivan Perez, Sharon Eyal and Alan Lucien Øyen.

He started to create his own pieces in 2018 with La Fille du Fort, co-created with Marion Barbeau, a site-specific piece for the Fort d’Aubervilliers. Since 2021, he has been working on a research project with Yohana Benattar and Hanga Toth. Titled Nos Gestes, Nos Soins, it is based on documentary videos of people with a chronic disease or a disability. During the 2022/23 season he is a resident artist at the Gymnase CDCN Roubaix, where he will complete his new creation Mue.

He has been a member of the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch since the 2022/2023 season.
