Daniel Siekhaus

Dr Daniel Siekhaus studied ›European Studies‹ and ›Managing in the Creative Industries‹ in Passau and St Andrews. He received his PhD from King’s College, University of Cambridge. As part of his doctoral research, he worked at the Royal Opera House in London, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the Opéra national de Lyon and the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg. Following a position as assistant to the directors and artistic coordinator of The Royal Ballet in London, he worked as manager and dramaturg for Thuringia State Ballet. From 2018 to 2023 he was managing director of Wuppertaler Bühnen und Sinfonieorchester GmbH. Since the start of the 2023/24 season, he has been managing director of Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch GmbH and, since the start of the 2025/26 season, has also held the position of artistic director.
